Investigation and comparison of different types of independent and central air conditioners

Today, many air conditioners in the world are produced and marketed with a variety of usages, performance and prices and with increasing standard levels and quality of life, attention to the type of heating and cooling system and the amount of relaxation The use of this equipment results in a great deal of interest in choosing the type of air conditioner. Increasing the cost of energy in today's societies, the use of this equipment is one of the most important factors in choosing the right type of air conditioners needed in each project.

Choosing air conditioners is a key issue in the quality of construction and can bring the project closer to its goals or even make it to the breaking point. There are generally two main types of air conditioning system choices to consider:

Building facade due to independent air conditioning
A) Independent air conditioners

In this way the choices available in order of lowest cost are:

Split unit cooler
Duct Split or Channel Split
Mini Cooled Chiller System

In the above air conditioners, condensers are best placed on the roof, but only if the floors are no more than four to five floors. In high-rise complexes, condensers are installed on the terrace and special considerations should be provided regarding the optimal coverage of condenser architecture. Obviously in this case a significant portion of the terrace area is occupied by the condenser and this will cause disturbing sound and warm air to the terrace and the occupants of the apartment.
An example of an independent air conditioning system
Cooler and Split:

The use of gas coolers and wall splits, which is very common nowadays, is the most economical and easiest way to cool units especially in temperate and temperate regions. This option is relatively good for small buildings, but seems to be a poor choice for towers and luxury construction, and damages the quality of construction. The average life span of wall splits is 12 years.

Duct Split:

The use of Split Ducts, provided that all the spaces of the independent valve flats are provided and that the system does not reduce productivity, contribute to the interior architecture of the units and is a better choice than the wall split. Of course, the large number of condensers in the apartment will require a lot of space on the terraces or on the roof, making it even more difficult to maintain.
If a channel split covers multiple spaces, the ability to locally control the temperature is lost and increases power consumption and reduces efficiency. The price of the canal split is also different from the wall split. Overall, the high cost of electricity in this choice, as well as the need for multiple and expensive piping and plumbing, and three-phase power supply for units above 180 square meters, are the disadvantages of using channel splits.

Mini Chiller:

Technically, the use of a mini chiller is a better choice than a split, reducing the power consumption and cost of the unit and integrating condensers per unit. Temperature control is also possible in different areas, but the mini-chiller option will allow a significant portion of the terrace to be installed in each mini-chiller. Given the high cost of this option on the one hand and the lack of added value in building marketing (as opposed to the split-channel) on the other hand, this option is usually not welcomed by the builders. The average life span of mini chillers is about 18 years.

Central air conditioning system
B) Central air conditioners

In this case the choices available in the lowest cost order are:

Chiller system + fan coil or fan
VRF system

In central air conditioning systems, the first major advantage is to dramatically reduce the unit's power consumption and improve comfort levels for those in the environment. Also, by eliminating the condensers, the architectural costs of camouflage camouflage on the building facade are eliminated. Another advantage of the central air conditioning system is that investors do not have to build multiple terraces and revitalize the terraces, which will play a key role in the development of the project.

Selecting the central system can lead to a reduction in the purchasing power required by the project and a reduction in the capacity of substations, boards, cabling, unit power meters, and all that. Obviously, the decline in initial investment in this sector is of interest to investors and is a good move in line with the country's macro policies.
The average lifespan of 30 years in central air conditioners makes these systems economical compared to other standalone air conditioners.
VRF system
VRF Central Split System:

The use of VRF is also a better choice than Split and Dock Split, due to the high cost of initial equipment purchase and the high cost of its implementation, which is more commonly used in commercial buildings, which significantly reduces the power consumption and condenser integration of each. Becomes a unit. The ability to control the temperature in different spaces is also an advantage of this system. In the VRF system, moving condensers from building facades to blind spots can greatly enhance the architecture and building facade, which is an advantage of the VRF central split system. Despite the relative benefits of VRF split-center systems due to the high costs involved in this option, investors usually avoid the option. The average life span of VRF central split systems is 25 years.
